Cant get enough of this color and my new workshop!!!!

I'm on a turquoise color kick! I just love this color from the 
Real Milk Paint co.  They call it cobalt but it's this stunning shade of turquoise. 
This 100 yr old buffet was in great condition. 
I didn't want to cover up the wood but just wanted to enhance it a bit. 
 I forgot to snap a pic before I started.  The wood is quarter sawn oak and hardly needed any
attention. I sanded the doors and drawers and went over them with some stain that
matched the body. Painted with the milk paint. Oh I forgot, I actually did a first coat
with the color "peacock" and then did my second coat in cobalt.  I didn't want the color
to be too bright and I like the greenish-blue underneath.
I have to post a pic of my new garage makeover-workbench area!  Everything was done with stuff
we already had laying around the garage. The wood flooring on the wall has been up in the rafters
for 5 years! Wasn't enough to really do anything with so why not bling up the workspace area?!
 Mr Pretty built me the new work bench and put the wood on the wall. I stained and sealed, as usual!

Im thinking of a color Campaign table anyone

 Here is my new little feral friend that has been keeping me company while I'm
 out in the garage at night working. His mama brought him around a few months ago for grub. He used to have 3 other siblings. After a few weeks, this is all that's left. ;(  
 My house is surrounded by the highway, hills and lots of coyotes, owls, etc....  Tough life for feral cats. I've tried to catch him, but he's pretty quick. Then it takes me weeks to earn his trust back so that I can barely touch him again.  He's a cute little guy. 
Here is the latest project. A Campaign side table....with a horrendous paint job. 
I'm figuring maybe the three blind mice and Helen Keller were in on this.
 Notice the paint over the brass
accents. I mean seriously??And the handles too. You're too lazy to take out two screws?? 
I used my best stripper...soy gel. Totally no-toxic and cleans up with water. 
 Look at how this just peels right up after 30 mins!! I usually hate stripping furniture, so I rarely buy pieces that are already painted.  But this went fairly quickly.
So, here is the nice African Mahogany veneer after stripping. The drawers were easy but the 
top took a little more work. I hit it with the 80, 150 and 220 grit sandpaper on the sander. 
And this is what I ended up with all sanded. Complete raw wood! If it had been solid, I 
might have left it. But it was all veneer and nothing to leave Earth for.  
So what color????? Hmmmmmmm
    I thought about black. And I know white would sell. But I hate painting with white. 
Soooo boring. 
 Emerald Green???? I used this on another piece and it looked great. I left the legs and drawer fronts because I just think having some of that great wood as a contrast looks good.  If the green doesn't work out, I can always paint over it with black or red or any other dark color.  
                    Whatcha think????

The Agave Color Antique Dresser Make over

Here is my newest re-do (Im on a tear lately refinishing stuff!).
This was a nice little antique dresser I picked up from CL. I met a lady
who handles estate sales. She got this from the original owner, so it was in ok
 shape. The top was pretty messed up and it
had a lot of dings and scratches, but the drawers were in pretty
good condition for being 80 years old! 
two sided sticky tape was used to affix the mirror to the back:(
Im still working on fixing and painting the mirror part.  
Mr. Agave!So I wanted to do an aqua-y color, but I wanted a bit of green to show through.
I just love blues and greens. So I played around with the colors and used my
new shades from Martha. 
This photo was used with a flash. You can see how the color washes out. 
 I brushed on Behrs "lilypad" before going over it with my chalk paint made from
MS "lagoon". 
The top I refinished in Varathane "Gel Walnut". This stuff is the bomb people.
Forget the Minwax. This gel stain is fabuloso!!! So easy and nice and comes out
flawless. It dried so quickly because this wood was so dried out. I used one
coat of the gel, a seal-coat, and then finished it with dark paste wax. 
The whole dresser got a coat of dark wax to tone down the color
and give it an aged look.  
I really hate the waxing process. :)
I wasnt sure which hardware to go with. I tried on many different knobs.
I didnt have anything in the blue/green family except some light blue milk glass. 
It looked a bit nursery-ish and too close to the color of the paint. 
I was going to line the drawers with this fabric.  Apparently Ill have to line it with the cat as well.
 So here is a shot with a portion of the mirror done.
I still have to do the arm thingy-s that allow it to move.
The mirror by itself is actually a beautiful piece. Since the piece that was affixed to the top with
sticky tape was literally falling apart, Hub made a new one to set on the top. There is another piece
that attaches to the mirror (I dont have that in the photo)Im actually leaving that natural wood.
